Zero Day
I won’t be saying much. I’m gonna hit the key points and call it good, because I feel seriously empty after watching this. It’s one of the more disturbing found footage films I’ve seen. Basically the whole thing is two guys chronicling their plans, with a strong but tragic final scene. Everything building up to their main actions is all hand held found footage, which I love. It’s a great insight into the minds and personalities of two mentally ill people, and their relationship with each other. It’s hard to sit through, just because of the anticipation of their crime. But I think it’s worth it to see how their minds work. From a filming standpoint, this film is very natural and authentic, so everything hits even harder. By the end, I felt so emotionally and mentally drained that I just wanted to curl up and cry. It’s truly one of the saddest films I’ve seen. A slow spiral out of control for two guys who needed help. I would recommend this to all crime/drama fans. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go check it out now!
