Cannibal Holocaust
Ugh. Why are these made? Sure, I could understand why someone would enjoy it. It’s gnarly, partially realistic, and gruesome, so to die-hard horror fans, it’s a classic. But still, is the involvement of multiple real animal deaths really necessary? The answer is no. I’m not easily disturbed or saddened by horror movies, but this one just made me feel pathetic. The director of this is the biggest scumbag ever. He’s said that he regrets his decisions with this, but it’s too late. It’s not forgivable. All that being said, I think the concept of the film is still decent, it was just executed poorly. The acting was garbage and the music was corny, but the locations were authentic and some of the effects were somewhat alright. But still, the whole thing is really poorly made. I wouldn’t recommend it, except if you are an absolute die-hard horror fan, or you want to watch it just to say you’ve watched it.
