Camp Rock
I love a horrible film. The cringey, late 2000s, Disney kind of horrible. Now, I would never actually call this horrible. Even though it's very exaggerated and off the rails. it's still iconic and a Disney classic. The story feels like basically every mushy Disney/teen movie ever, especially during the time in which this came out. There's not really a whole lot to pay attention to, other than the character relationships. The writing (especially the dialogue) isn't great, but if it was great, then this film wouldn't have its iconic status. The useless drama was stupid, yet also extremely entertaining. You can't help but get completely invested in every single moment. I love making fun of all the situations, and how the characters react to everything. Speaking of characters, I love everyone so much, even Tess Tyler. Of course, the acting is nowhere near "good", but it's still good. If that makes any sense. It was so corny and over the top, which also made this really fun. This film also has one of my favorite soundtracks ever. Sure, it sounds over produced, but all of the songs are catchy and have a great beat to them. You'll definitely lose some brain cells after watching this, but it's completely worth it. Overall, it's a bit cringe but also ironically one of the best musicals of all time. I will always love this film and would recommend it to all fans of "crappy" Disney films. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
