Honey Don’t!
I will be making this review short, because I don’t have many positive points to make. I was rather excited for it when it came out, mostly because of who was in the cast, and the fact that Ethan Coen directed it. I debated seeing it in theaters, but I’m glad I didn’t, because this was poopy. It was very mentally taxing to follow along, just because it was so slow and boring. Considering it’s only an hour and a half, it’s one of the longest films I’ve ever seen. There was just no substance at all. It’s a typical crime/comedy you might find on Tubi or some free streaming service. That’s no shade against Tubi at all, this just feels like a cheaply made film. The story is all fluff and has zero character development and is missing an interesting plot. The cast was awful, which was disappointing, because I’m a big fan of Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, and Chris Evans. They all sucked. I hate to say it, but every performance was phony and stale. That’s all the thoughts I have right now. It was just an awful film that goes nowhere, the characters have no personalities, the pacing is crap, it’s just not good. There’s a couple moments that are funny, but not often. I would not recommend this to anyone. It’s one of the worst of 2025.
