My Life with the Walter Boys (Season 2)
I really don’t have a whole lot to say about this season. It’s very in line with the first one in terms of character progression, story, and of course, all of the totally useless but totally awesome drama. Even though I really loved this season, I don’t think I enjoyed it as much as the first one. It’s still gripping and you stay invested until the very end, but it recycles a lot of the same ideas as the first season. I think there’s only so much you can write about when it comes to high school. I did really like how football was a much bigger part of the storyline, along with Alex’s bronco stuff. It starts to flesh out the characters in a solid way. Until everyone becomes wrapped up in whatever relationship stuff is going on. I’m also glad there’s more relationships, rather than just the Jackie-Cole-Alex thing, and Skylar and Nathan. Danny, Kiley, and others are now doing lovey dovey stuff, so there’s more people to root for. The acting is still very lame at times, although it is shown to be a strong suit in certain moments. Especially from Jaylan Evans, Corey Fogelmanis, and Marc Blucas. But there’s definitely some very goofy line deliveries. Overall, I was definitely emotionally invested into this, though the writing is just silly at times and the drama is just overwhelming. But that’s exactly what I signed up for. I would recommend this show to all drama/romance fans. This season is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
