My Adventures with Superman (Season 2)
So let’s just go ahead and get this out of the way: JACK QUAID IS SUPERMAN. I’ll say that for a lot of Superman actors. I’ll be saying that in two weeks, when I see James Gunn’s ‘Superman’. But Jack Quaid, one of my favorite people on this planet, is one of the best Superman actors ever. He brings so much innocence, warmth, and youth to the character. My hat off to you, Jack. Now, I didn’t like this season as much as the first one, but that doesn’t mean it’s not perfect. Because it absolutely is. Everything about it. The character designs are so good, with a great animation style that makes everyone so lively and personable. Especially Superman’s suit, which is one of the best Superman suits to date. All the super suits in this season are peak costume design. The storyline is action packed, hilarious, and very fantastical. I love that the big villain is Brainiac, but not the design or style you’re used to. He’s still such a cool villain, and Michael Emerson does one of the best villain voice acting jobs I’ve heard in years. And the introduction of Supergirl was done in a very smart way. She was a good character, and I loved the writing around her. She’s not your traditional Supergirl, let’s just say that. This version of Lois Lane continues to be my favorite, and Jimmy Olsen is one of the best Jimmy Olsens. The theme song makes you want to pump your first in the way, the animation is flawless (again), and it’s simply one of the best animated shows currently running. I would recommend it to all superhero fans, especially DC. You don’t want to miss this season. This season is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
