Trolls World Tour
Definitely a step down from the first Trolls. Not that I was expecting much anyways, but there’s not a whole lot that’s new in this. I mean, there’s a new plot, but it’s another “save the world” kind of thing, so it’s whatever. I do like how it expands the Trolls map and introduces other types of Trolls species. Or breeds, or whatever the terminology is. Bringing in different genres of music and watching them collide was cool. It does help the story by having different styles of characters, rather than just colorful “pop” trolls. I mean, it’s true that sequels always need to be bigger and have more to look at, and this film succeeds in terms of However, the soundtrack was definitely weaker and didn’t have as many good selections as the first. I didn’t find myself getting into the music as much. But it was still pretty good. The animation is strong again, with unique character designs that match each person's vibe and sound. You’ll know what I mean when you watch this. The performances were all decent, but nothing too memorable. The vocals for the songs were all strong, and Anna Kendrick is starting to grow on me. Plus, it was fun to hear Ozzy Osbourne. Overall, it’s a weaker sequel, but is still entertaining enough and a good film to stick on in the background. I would recommend it to most animation/musical fans.
